Benjamin Franklin: Picture of Benjamin Franklin.Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of. Benjamin Franklin. I don't think Ben had the "puritan work ethic" in mind when he said this.

ALEX: Catalogue of Electronic Texts is a "collection of digital documents collected in the subject areas of English literature, American literature, and Western philosophy." They offer online html, downloadable pdf and now the ebook format. The catalgue is extensive and it makes me wish I had one of the ebook devices.

From Germany, my vacation destination of choice, FolkWorld - the online music magazine, Europe's Folk World & Roots Music Scene: News & Gossip, Articles, Interviews, Forum, CD & Live Reviews, CD Competitions. in German and English.

bibliomania, "hundreds of searchable full text works of classic fiction, popular fiction, short stories, drama, poetry, dictionaries, research and religious texts.

BookNotes Guest Editors

I'm pleased to introduce BookNotes Guest Editors:

Andrea Frick: Gary Frost: Picture of Gary Frost.
Andrea Frick Gary Frost
Andrea and Gary have both agreed to help me keep BookNotes running while my daughter and I are on our trip to Germany. I'll be seeing Andrea and her partner, André in Koblenz in a couple of days. (Maybe Andrea will have something to say about our meeting.) I encourage all BookNotes readers to also check out Andrea's and Gary's websites. Andrea, who is well on her way to being famous, is editor of Andrea's Weblog. Gary, is the deep thinker and brains behind the Future of the Book website. My thanks to both Andrea and Gary for helping out. I know I am leaving BookNotes readers in very good hands. I'll be back in eleven days with lots to share. See ya'll later!

Me and Leigh Ann: Picture of Craig Jensen and daughter Leigh Ann. PS: This is a picture of my daugther Leigh Ann and me.

PPS: Both guest editors are very busy people. Please be patient if postings are late or a day gets skipped. But do check back often, aside from being busy, Gary and Andrea are also very interesting people and there should be some surprises as a result!

Investigating the Renaissance: "Examining material aspects of three early Netherlandish paintings using digital imaging techniques."

I was asking the other day what comes after postmodern. Maybe I should find out what postmodern is before I worry about what comes next. POSTMODERN culture seems like a pretty good place to start.

Cool People in the Hot Desert. A report on an Israeli-German start up forum held at Ben Gruion University in the Negev, May 13-15, 2000.
