On Thursday, May 18 mentioned the Metadata Plug-in. When I get back from my Germany trip I'm going to install it on the two servers that I manage and start using it. John VanDyk has done a great job with this one. Why the Metadata Plugin is Important is a piece that John has written that gives a glimpse of what his plug-in can do. I have a couple of projects that I am working on that will benefit from this plug-in. When I get them up and breathing, I'll make an announcement, with links, here on BookNotes. Stay tuned.
Speaking of trips, my daughter and I are leaving on Monday for our Germany trip. We are both very excited. I have recruited a guest editor for BookNotes. My former partner and good buddy, Gary Frost, has agreed to step in and keep things going while I am gone. Gary is the editor and webmaster of Future of the Book.
I have talked to a couple of other friends about making contributions to BookNotes while I am gone. I won't say their names, but there is the possibility of a few surprise additions to the News Page while I am away. Check back often.
