The blues ain't nothin' but a botheration on your mind. Memphis Slim
The Memphis Guide is very cool. Make sure you dip into the music tours, especially The Blues tour.
The Jack London Collection
Check out The People of the Abyss, this is a nonfiction work by London based on his observaiton of London's slums. It is illustrated with photographs taken by London and others. Very grim.
Also have a look at The Road, another nonfiction piece by London about his years as a hobo, including descriptions of a couple of years spent in prison. This is also illustrated with photographs.
Many, many more of London's works are featured at this site.
The Bodleian Library has some great electronic exhibits. This one is on Broadside Ballads. It has sound files of many of the ballads so you can get the tune. (You are required to agree with their use policy before proceeding to the exhibit.)
I really love early book illustration. This exhibit, Jesuits and the Sciences, 1540-1995 has some great examples.
More great stuff from BYU. DScriptorium. Don't miss the beautiful 15th century binding on Ms. 94 Chronique de Pierre le Prestre.
